Laboratories |
|
Faculty
of Engineering & Technology (FET) has been established with the objective
to meet the growing demand of technically trained engineers. FET provides latest
knowledge of different engineering disciplines backed with a support of latest
IT systems, general management and vedic views, which would enable an engineer
to be a competent technocrat. All the engineering streams have started with a
initial intakes of 60 students.

Chemistry Laboratory |
Chemistry
lab is spacious and comprehensive laboratory and is well equipped with state of
art instruments. It has got all the apparatus, chemicals and accessories for physically
carrying out the experiments as prescribed in the syllabus by the University.
The Laboratory is equipped with various electronic equipments like conductivity
meter, PH Meter, Turbidity meter, Refractrometer, Muffle furnace, Electronic balance,
Flame Photometer. The experiments that are normally carried our by the students
are Determination of PH of a solution; finding out the exact weight of chemical
samples; ignition of the organic sample and to maintain high temperature; determination
of the hardness of water; spectroscopy; determination of the conductivity of the
solutions. | |

Electronics and Digital Lab |
|
Electronics and digital laboratory is a fully
developed lab in the area of 150 square meter, well equipped with CRO; AD Converters;
DA Converters, FET Characteristics amplifier; OP-Amp.Mux & Demux kits and variety
of I.Cs.; Function Generators, Half-adder and half subtractor etc. All the experiments
as per the University syllabus can be carried out with the help of these equipments.

Electronics Workshop and PCB Lab |
| The
Institute has set up advance PCB Lab to train the students in the fabrication
of D.C. unregulated Power Supply. The Laboratory is equipped with Shearing Machine;
Etching Machine, Drilling Machine; Soldering equipments We are in the process
of adding U.V.Camera, Transformer winding machine and some more equipments to
make further advance lab.The experiments which are carried out in this Laboratory
are: Art work and printing on simple PCB; Etching and drilling of PCB; Soldering
and fixing of components; Testing of the fabricated power supply

Measurement Lab |
| This
laboratory is presently having all the necessary instruments relating to measurement
experiments. These are Owen'x Bridge; Maxwell's Bridge; Schering Bridge; Hey's
Bridge; Kelvin's Double Bridge A.C.Voltmeter; A.C.Ammeter; Single Phase Variac,Rheostat,
Choke coil and Potentiometer. The students can carry out main experiments viz:
Measurement of unknown capacitance using Shering Bridge; Measurement of unknown
inductance using Hey's bridge; Measurement of unknown resistance using Kelvin's
Double Bridge;Measurement of the unknown inductance usingOwen's Bridge; Measurement
of unknown inductance using Maxwell's Bridge; Caliberation of A.C.Voltmeter and
A.C.Ammeter; Measurement of Power drawn by Single phase AC circuit using three
ammeters; Measurement of unknown voltage by using potentiometer.

Electrical Machine Lab |
| This
lab consists of Basic Electrical & Electronics Lab as well as Machine Lab. This
lab is equipped with variety of trainer kits and machines for performing requisite
experiments namely Verification of network theorems; Study of series and parallel
resonance condition by RLC Kit; Study of half wave and full wave rectifier circuit
with and without capacitor filter and determine the ripple factor; Determination
of common base and common emitter characteristics of a transistor; study of various
logic gates (TTL) ; Measurement of power consumed in three phase circuit by two
wattmeter method. The Machine lab section consists Transformer; D.C.Shunt Motor;
D.C.Shunt Generator and the experiments that are carried out in this section are:
Direct load test to find losses and efficiency; Indirect test to draw the equivalent
circuit of the transformer; Regenerative test or back to back test or Sumpner's
test to find efficiency of a tramsformer by using two similar transformers; speed
control of d.c. shut motor via field control, armature control, voltage control;
Swinburn test or no load test to find the efficiency of the motor; To obtain the
magnetization characteristics or open circuit characteristic; To conduct the parallel
operation of d.c. generator; To obtain the load characteristics.

Computer Organisation Lab |
| The
basic aim of this lab is to train the students for the bread board implementation
of different combinational and sequential circuits. The laboratory is equipped
with Digi Lab Trainer; Bread Board kits; Counter and shift register kits; Flip
Flop Kits. With the help of these kits the students are guided to carry out various
experiments like Implementation of various gates counters and registers using
different integrated chips; Implementation of various gates counters and registers
and code conversion using different integrated chips; Implementation of counters
and shift registers and designing of various counters; Implementation of various
flip flops , set reset (SR) Delay(D), Toggle(T) & JK flip flops.

Computer Lab |
| This
lab is having 120 computers in perfect working conditions having speed of 2.66G
Hz and all are Pentium-4. The lab has the facility of server running on Microsoft
windows; Novel network and limux too are installed on the network. The lab has
the facility of four printers which are connected through network. Variety of
software is available to the students to perform practical. Emphasis is given
on the Data base handling; software project development; Programming techniques
in various programming languages.

Internet Connectivity |
| Computer
lab is connected to the internet through tower having very good speed. The students
have their own internet accounts and can access information to their need. Separate
internet lab is for the staff where all academic and other information is accessible
through the net. The internet facility is available to the students for whole
of the day so that they can take advantage even after normal working hours.

Delta Adaptive, Delta 7 Delta Sigma M/Demo. Delta Formatting & Carrier Mod
Transmitter, Carrier Demodulation & Delta Reformatting. CROs of 25 MHZ, function
pulse generator of 2 MHZ and AM/FM function pulse generator of 2 MHZ, PAM-PPM-PWM
Modulation and Demodulation etc. are available in the laboratory.

is a separate laboratory for catering to Engineering Physics for B. Tech. first
year students. This lab has experimental setup of Fresnel's Biprism, Polarization
of Laser Light, Susceptibility measurement by Quinke's method, Hall Effect
Setup, Ultrasonic Velocity in liquids. Besides, the physics lab has sufficient
experimental equipment to perform experiments according to the prescribed syllabus.

Workshop is broadly divided into five shops such as Carpentry, Foundry, Fitting,
Metal Joining and Machine Shop. Lathe machines, Shaper machine, Universal Milling

Institute of Technology, boasts of state-of-art Graphics Lab with a seating capacity
of more than 70 students although the standard capacity of each class is
restricted to sixty only as per the AICTE norms.The Graphics Lab as drawing boards
mounted on adjustable drafting stand, and have provision for fixing the mini-drafter
machines for the purpose of preparation of the engineering drawings.

induction motor and energy meter.

A fully developed digital
electrical laboratory is available. This lab is equipped with CRO, function
generator, TTL inverters, schmitt trigger, 555 timer, CMOS inverter, Adder/Substractor,
multiplexes/decoders and all accessories for performing the experiment as
prescribed in the syllabus by the university. In addition to this Digital Lab.
Trainer and breadboard kits are also installed.

Instrument Of Measurement Lab.

In
this lab all necessary instruments and accessories are installed for performing
measuring experiments. These are LCR bridge distortion factors meter, transistor
tester, Owen’s Bridge, Kelvin’s Double Bridge, A.C. Voltmeter, A.C. ammeter,
single phase variac, rheostat, choke coil and Potentiometer, CRO different types
of transducers (PT-100 trans, J-type trans-K-type trans & presser trans).
The students carry out main experiments viz:- Calibration of AC voltmeter and
are ammeter, measurement of phase difference and frequency of a sinusoidal AC
voltage measurement of voltage, current, resistance using DC Potentiometer,
measurement of inductance by Maxwell’s bridge, Hay’s bridge &
Anderson’s and many more.

This lab is well equipped with
variety of experimental kits & accessories. These are Norton Theorem,
Tellegin’s theorem, RL & R.C. Circuits, RLC Circuits, CRO, Millimeters and

position theorem, Norton theorem, Thevenin theorem & maximum power transfer

amplifier kit (summer, difference and integrator), instrumentation amplifier and
emitter follower amplifier.

characteristics of SCR and UJT.

function generation, AM/FM function pulse generator and demodulation kits etc
are available in the laboratory.

integrated circuits lab is available. All instruments are of high quality and
accuracy. These are CROs, function generator multimeter, ammeter &

rectifier, 555 timer betterworth active high pass and low pass filters, A/D
converter and D/A converter, DC regulated power supply. With the help of these
instruments students able to physically carry out the experiments prescribed in
the syllabus.
