Extra Curricular Activities

For the overall growth of the students, the Roorkee Institute of Technology, proposes to organize an array or extra curricular activities of regular basis.
During the first session itself, the Institute held several activities such as:

1. Welcome & Orientation programme of the new comers.

2. Sports meet of the students.

3. Blood donation camp.

4. Quiz and music competition.

5. Eye checking and treatment conducted by Ganga Mata Charitable Trust, Haridwar.

6. Educational Tour.

7. Annual function of the Institute (RhapsoRITe) at the close of first session.

Industrial & Educational Tours

Practical experience is must for the seedlings to apply concepts and theories in real life situations. The management is highly enlightened on this score and therefore encourages industrial tours for students to various organizations to enable them to get exposed to different type of organizations. This also enables them to interact directly with the technocrats. During visit guest lectures are arranged from experts of industry and other organizatons for latest appraisal of institute / industry interaction.

The Roorkee Institute of Technology, plans to organize Seminars to enhance interaction of the students with industry and academicians.

The Institute has been organizing Lectures from eminent professors who have very wide and rich Teachning & Research experience to their credit. Some of the eminent Professors who have blessing lectures to our students during first session were:

Debates

The Roorkee Institute of Technology, plans to organize Inter-Institute debates for each engineering branch every year. The objective of conducting these debates is to develop confidence in the students for public speaking, to impart knowledge of the ground realities on the relevant topics, the development of their personality.

Communication & Personality Development

With frequent group discussions, students Seminars, Quizzes, Extempore, Role Plays, Research, Case Studies & Industrial Visits, students should be great beneficiaries. They will revive regular inputs in personality development to help them interact with confidence and poise, and also address the problems in a real life like manner.

Communication Laboratory

Communication laboratory of Electronics & Communication Engineering has various training kits like DSB/SSB AM Transmitter. DSB/SSB AM Receiver. FM Transmitter/Receiver. Sampling & Reconstruction. TDM Pulse AM/De-Modulation. TDM Pulse Code Modulator/Receiver. Delta Adaptive, Delta 7 Delta Sigma M/Demo. Delta Formatting & Carrier Mod Transmitter, Carrier Demodulation & Delta Reformatting. CROs of 25 MHZ, function pulse generator of 2 MHZ and AM/FM function pulse generator of 2 MHZ, PAM-PPM-PWM Modulation and Demodulation etc. are available in the laboratory.

Sports

The spacious spacious grounds of the Institute are laid out into play fields for cricket, hockey, football, handball, volleyball, lawn tennis, badminton. Facilities are also proposed for yoga. A gymnasium equipped with modern and scientific machines like multi-exerciser is also proposed.
