Admissions to the First year B.Tech. Programme shall be done through the counseling which is conducted by the Utarakhand Technical University on the basis AIEEE rankings.

Admission to the IInd year B. Tech. ( IIIrd semester) through lateral entry from Diploma / B.Sc. streams, shall be done through Counseling to be conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University on the basis of merit obtained in the Uttarakhand Technical University Entrance Examination ( UTUEE).

Admission to the first year of Master of Computer Application (MCA) shall against be done through Counseling to be conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University on the basis of merit obtained in the Uttarakhand Technical University Entrance Examination ( UTUEE).

Admission to first year of Master of Business Administration (MBA) Programme will however be processed through Management Aptitutde Test (MAT) organized by All India Management Association New-Delhi conducted during September 2007 and May 2008. Those who have CAT score will also be eligible for admission. A Psycometric test may also be held at the time of counseling.

The Uttarakhand quota is 50% of the seats and All India quota is 35% of the approved intake. Ten percent seats are in the Management quota. & Five percent seats under NRI quota. Admission against the Management Quota seats, in each programme will be done in the Institute directly on the basis of merit drawn amongst those who get themselves registered with the Institute. The registration fee is just Rs.500/- payable by Demand draft drawn in favour of Roorkee Institute of Technology payable on any bank having its branch at Roorkee. The application form can be had from the Institute by sending the DD for Rs. 500/- or could be down loaded from the Institute’s website and submitted to the Institute duly completed along with registration fee.

The Interested candidates are advised to get themselves registered with the Institute at the earliest. The eligibility criteria for each programme is described below. Those appearing in the qualifying examination this year are also eligible to apply but they will have to complete the eligibility requirement before the admission time.

Eligibility Criteria

1. B.TECH. FIRST YEAR OF FOUR YEARS FULL TIME DEGREE COURSE

i) The candidate must have passed Intermediate Examination ( with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry or Computers) of Uttarakhand Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent.

ii) Merit in All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE-2008)

2. B.TECH. SECOND YEAR OF FOUR YEARS FULL TIME DEGREE COURSE

i) The candidate must have passed Polytechnic Diploma Course recognized by Board of Technical Education Uttarakhand with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate. Candidates with B.Sc. (PCM Group) are also eligible in this category.

ii) Merit of UTUEE-2008 being conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University on June 8, 2008.

Master of Computer Application (MCA)
(First year of Three years full time Degree course)

Eligibility
(i)Three years Degree course with Mathematics at 10+2 Level.

(ii) Merit of UTUEE-2008 being conducted by Uttarakhand Technical University on June 8, 2008.

Master of Bussiness Adminstration (MBA)
( First year of two years full time Degree course)

Eligibility
i) Graduation in any discipline with 50% aggregate marks

ii) MAT/CAT valid score.

Documents Required at the Time of Counseling

1. Orignal Copy of AIEEE-2008/ UTUEE -2008 Rank and admit card
2. High school marks sheet and certificate duly self attested.
3. Intermediate marks sheet duly attested by a self and orignal for verification.
4. Character Certificate from the Principal of the college last attended
5. Four Passport size photographs
6. Medical Certificate from CMO which should also indicate blood group
7. Transfer/Migration certificate ( to be submitted at the time of admission).
